Fibery & Farm

Custom fibre processing to support our local farmers, one fleece at a time!

A Family Run Farm & Mill in North Saanich Since 1980

We are a semi-worsted mini-mill operating on the beautiful Saanich Peninsula on Vancouver Island, BC. We also raise a herd of 15 alpacas and one llama, as well as an acre of kiwi fruit and 2 acres of walnuts.

Our little 5-acre farm has been in the family since 1980. Pat & Barb Brennan were one of the first farms on the island to grow kiwi-fruit and the original 1-acre orchard continues to produce kiwi to this day. Walnuts were introduced in 1996.

Our Fibery Services

Washing

Our extractor then uses chemical free, biodegradable soap to gently remove dirt and lanolin.

Spinning

We can spin your wool, wool blend or exotic blends into singles, 2 or 3-ply yarn, in lace to bulky weight.

Carding

The carder is the heart of the mill! It brushes and aligns the fibres into a uniform woolen sliver or batt.

Pin Drafting

The pin drafter combs the slivers into a more consistent, compact, and easier-to-handle single roving.
