We are so sad to have to announce the impending closure of the mill. Farmer Pat has decided to retire (no shame – he will be 90 in April!) and as such, the farm will be going on the market. We are working hard to complete all jobs previously committed to but are no longer accepting any new fleeces for processing. We are still offering our own inventory for sale – the store remains open from 9-4, Monday to Friday.
The mill equipment, (including The Duchess, our 150 year-old carder), is for sale. We would prefer to sell as a package (extractor, picker, carder, pin drafter, roving deck, rug core maker, spinner, cone winder, plus many accessories). If you are interested, please email Tracy at firstname.lastname@example.org.
A Family Run Farm & Mill in North Saanich Since 1980
We are a semi-worsted mini-mill operating on the beautiful Saanich Peninsula on Vancouver Island, BC. We also raise a herd of fifteen alpacas and one llama, as well as an acre of kiwi fruit and two acres of walnuts.
Our little five-acre farm has been in the family since 1980. Pat & Barb Brennan were one of the first farms on the island to grow kiwi-fruit and the original one-acre orchard continues to produce kiwi to this day. Walnuts were introduced in 1996.
