Our Story

In 2010, I purchased five alpacas, one of whom was pregnant and gave birth to the most adorable little creature I’d ever laid eyes on. I joined the Vancouver Island Llama and Alpaca Club, a wonderful group of wise and experienced camelid farmers and learned oh-so-much.

I have since attended several courses with Marty McGee Bennett, the author of The Camelid Companion. Her gentle techniques have guided my journey in handling my animals gently and respectfully.

The farm now boasts 15 alpacas (7 of which are rescues) and one guard llama. How lucky am I!

We Have A Solution!

Do you have a small flock of unique fibre animals?

We will process your fibre to meet your requests while catering to the characteristics of your animals’ fibre. We offer minimum size requirements as small as 1 kg (which means that you can show off yard made specifically from each individual alpaca or sheep!).

Not lucky enough to own animals of your own?

We offer a variety of fibres in whatever stage you require. Come and check out our inventory and if you don’t see what you want, we’d be happy to make it for you!

Not enough fibre to meet our minimums?

No problem! We offer a variety of fibres for blending purposes, locally sourced whenever possible.

Are you a fibre artist wanting to create a specific blend or product?

Our sliver, batts or roving can be used for hand-spinners or felters. Yarn can be produced in a variety of weights and can be coned for weavers or skeined for dyers and knitters. Create your own yarn line! We love to play!

Our Focus on Quality

We will transform your fleece into something amazing! Our mill can produce sliver, batts, roving, and yarn from lace to heavy corespun. Our small, 1 kg minimum means that you can have yarn created from a specific animal. We guarantee that you will always get back the fibre that you brought to us. Imagine your fleece, in the weight, ply, and blend best-suited for THAT fleece!
